How many guests can The Vine accommodate?
The Vine can host up to 99 guests indoors or up to 450 guests outdoors in our pavilion, depending on your event layout and preferences.
Are non-alcoholic weddings allowed?
Absolutely. We are happy to host non-alcoholic weddings. Non-alcoholic beverage service and mocktail options can also be arranged if desired.
Do we have to use specific vendors?
No. We offer flexibility when it comes to vendors, allowing you to bring in professionals that fit your vision for the day.
Do you offer catering?
Yes. We offer in-house catering for events with up to 150 guests, with a flexible menu that can be tailored to your event style and preferences. We're happy to walk through options and help you decide what works best for your celebration.
Is a deposit required to reserve our date?
Yes. A signed contract and a 50% deposit are required to officially reserve your wedding date at The Vine.
When should we schedule a tour?
Tours are encouraged and can be scheduled once you've inquired about availability. Touring the space is a great way to see how your day could flow and ask any questions you may have.
What is included with the venue rental?
Your rental includes tables and chairs, set-up and tear-down, bridal and groom suites, lounge space, white tablecloths, white chair covers, and on-site staff support. Full details can be found in the "What's Included with your Venue Rental" section above.
What locations do you serve?
We regularly host couple from across the region, including Montevideo, Marshall, Watertown, Brookings, and as a destination venue for midwest couples including the Twin Cities and Sioux Falls.
What happens if it rains?
No need to stress about the weather! The Vine features a beautiful covered pavilion that serves as the perfect ceremony and reception location in any weather. It offers the charm of an outdoor wedding while keeping you and your guests comfortable and protected, so you can enjoy your day no matter what Mother Nature has planned.
Can we decorate the venue?
Absolutely! We encourage couples to make The Vine their own with personal décor and special touches.
To help keep the venue in great condition, we ask that all decorations be attached using removable methods such as painter's tape, command strips, or similar products. Nails, screws, staples, or anything that causes permanent damage are not permitted.
For safety, fireworks and confetti are not allowed. Real flame candles are welcome as long as the flame is enclosed in a glass container that extends at least 2 inches above the flame.
If you have a unique decorating idea, just ask! We're always happy to help find a solution.
If you are not interested in decorating, let us do it for you! We offer a full service in-house decorating service.
Can we get ready at The Vine?
Yes! The Vine offers both a private Bridal Suite and Groom's Lounge, giving everyone a comfortable place to relax, get ready, and enjoy the excitement before the ceremony.
Beginning in 2027, couples will also have the option to reserve The Vine Home, our on-site accommodations designed to turn your wedding into an unforgettable weekend experience.
Is there on-site parking?
Yes! We offer ample on-site parking for your guests.
For larger weddings, our team also provides parking attendants and valet services to help ensure guests arrive safely and the parking process runs smoothly.
Is The Vine wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The Vine is wheelchair accessible, and our restrooms are ADA-compliant to help ensure all of your guests can comfortably enjoy your celebration.

Can we stay on-site?
Yes! Beginning in 2027, couples celebrating at The Vine will have the opportunity to reserve The Vine Home as an optional addition to their wedding weekend.
Located just steps from the venue, The Vine Home offers spacious accommodations for family and friends, making it easy to spend more time together before and after the celebration. Couples reserving The Vine Home also have the option to reserve on-site camper hookups for additional overnight guests.
The Vine Home is available exclusively to couples hosting their wedding at The Vine and is reserved separately from the venue rental.
